Pierre's list of Furry Friends

"To know my world, I have a list of my furry friends like me - stray, unwanted, forgotten, mistreated and unloved. My care-givers are trying their very best to stretch the value of money to care and feed my furry friends and I. So, if there is any kind-hearted ones, compassionate ones, please response to my call to lighten my care-givers' load as most of them are aunties, their earnings are not much. If anyone could response positively to my calling. I, Pierre the homeless cat, thank you for your gracious-kind act and support. meow... "

"This is Blackie, female feline. Shinny fur, sharp claws and enjoys seeing the terror on ladies' faces. Isn't she lovely?"

"Brina, a pretty mother. Gentle, cautious - stands away from strangers. Loves to play with her son, Brandon. Took good care of Elmond although not her kitten when Elmond was young few months ago. But now frequently bullied by Pumpkin and Elmond."

"Pumpkin, a male feline of action. A roll-up-your-sleeves kind of cat. A stand-up-and-fight-it sort of fellow. Enjoys chasing after Brina, loves to play with Elmond, always looking for trouble.
However, suffers from indigestion frequently. Always needed to see vet for medication to "pump" out his shits. Och! it's painful!!"

"Brandon, kind-hearted and a gentle boy. Dun eat as much as me, soft and lovely. Enjoys playing with Elmond, xiao hei and his mother, Brina. Welcomes new comers."

"Xiao hei, also called Ice-Cream. Careful, cautious yet playful male feline. Prefers to hang out alone, find time to play with Elmond and Brandon. Quiet persona. Not as handsome as me.. meow.."

"Elmond, playful male cat. Roams around the neighbourhood with Pumpkin, also hangs around with Xiao Hei and Brandon. Occasionally, chased after Brina in the name of FUN."

"Pick this saying from my care-givers, Sharing is caring! How true! There is friendship and sharing in our cats' kingdom. Watching them eat together, I'm green with envy! Oops, I forget I am a cat too. ^_^"

"Friendship is hanging out together and spending time together."

"And this is me, sitting on the sofa, sharing my story with you and the story of my fur-ball friends like me.
See my eye? clouded, medication needed. Grumpy aged cat. Yet loved by care-givers unconditionally."  meow...signing-off.

Pierre's thoughts during meal time!

"As I was hungry, I walked slowly to my usual feeding area. Thinking what's on the menu today."

"Before my meal, I pray and give thanks. Meditate and feel the warmness from the sun ray, the lovliness in the air and the kindness in my atmostphere."

"Hey! you are watching!! Well, I need to have my meal in private, okay?"

"Okay, nevermind. You may visit me if you have the time. For I have all of my time for you."

Medical checkup coming soon

Oh no, my next medical checkup is coming soon in mid July.
I wonder what the vet will say this time!!

Nice pictures of me - courtesy by my care-givers

My life story as you have read, thanks to all of you who loved me, fed me, paying my medical bills, shelter me, that I could be well as what you see. Meow meow meow.... thank you once again from my heart...

Sitting by the kitchen table waiting patiently for dinner.

Note: Pierre's right eye needs care. At times, Pierre did not want to have medicated-eye drop, threw tempers at foster parent by meowing all the way refusing to get medicated. Foster parent needs to get the right moment to have Pierre medicated properly. Pierre at times stressed by the daily medication, it kinda gives Pierre an uncomfortable sensation to his eyes. But Pierre always finds comforts when food is given after the drops. Let's continue to keep Pierre safe and healty, with your love, kindness and generousity

Meal time!!!

My favourite of the day - Meal Time!! meow..

My favourites are ...hmmm..oh everything!!!  ^_^  meow...

My food!!! Hey, there's a mouse!

Catching my naps - continues

I wondered do I look good in this position..hmm...

When I opened my eyes, I see you (but alittle unclear) as you can tell that my right eye is not in good shape.
BUT, I still can see your love, compassion and heart!

Dear God, I pray that all good health, good blessing and good fortune fall on all care-givers who cared for the less fortunate unconditionally. (meow)...

And now, the nap is catching up.. zzz zzzzz zzzzzz zzzzzz

Catching my naps!

Before I get into my nap (meow), I got to closed my eyes well. As you know that my eyes' condition is not good, eye-ball pounched out alittle due to my eye-water pressure... managed to close my eyes neatly.

SEE!!! Look at me... pretty good huh???

I visited Pumpkin at his usual hang out place today and saw him lying down very quietly. We caretakers have been observing him since the last incident. Just when we were thinking if he is sick again........then..................Meowwwwwwwwwww......

He jumped up, dashed towards another female cat, meowing away loudly, chased her up the roof of the pavilion and disappeared. Minutes later, he walked back contented. This is his hobby occasionally ( that is to disturb some of the cats staying in the same area). But rest assured that he will just chase for fun, no animal or cat has been hurt or harmed during the chasing process. =p

And now, all of us confirmed that he is WELL and healthy!

We will try out best to take some nice pictures of him one of these days.

Vet Visit on 22.05.10

Hi Friends of Pierre, sorry for the late update. It has been busy for all caretakers.

Here we go...

Pierre went to the clinic today. 2 caretakers went along including myself. We were very very worried. This is the day the vet will decide if his eye should stay.

Dr Heng has a very detailed examination to both his eyes. Left eye turns out to be very good. Water pressure is under controlled.

Next is his right eye, the eye that might turn blind and to be removed.
And to our surprise, Dr Heng said for the first time that she is able to see his nerves and muscles at the back of his eyes. This is the first time his eye is cleared of ulcer. She also tested and confirmed that there is response coming from his right eye. In conclusion, Pierre is NOT BLIND!!! We are just too happy to receive this piece of news.

Pierre will still need his eye drops to maintain the water pressure of both eyes. There is still a chance of getting eyes damaged if the water pressure is too high. This is a genetic problem. No cure so far, only maintain. But I do believe that his foster parent will be able to take care of him and help him maintain this good condition. He will need his regular vet visits and also his expensive eye drops. The next visit will be in July.
We will still need your continuous support in helping Pierre, be it financially or in any other way, as his medical condition is for life-time. We will definitely try our best in whatever way we can, to care for him and make him stay healthy.

Pierre's friend, Pumpkin is back!

Last night seems to be extremely long for us, Pumpkin is not around, no one from hospital called. We have been wondering if he can make it. At 11am in the morning, we have decided to call the clinic as we can't wait any further. We have a GREAT news, Pumpkin is well and up!

He is back now. Everyone is happy to see him. He is still his usual self except for 2 bald patches on his 'hands' due to injection and drip. We are happy, so does Pumpkin as he can eat and ....of course poooo.

Thanks to our friend, Joshua, who has contributed towards part of Pumpkin's medical fee. Otherwise, it will be heavy for the caretakers.

I am sure Pierre is happy that his friend is finally back!
