Pierre's friend, Pumpkin is back!

Last night seems to be extremely long for us, Pumpkin is not around, no one from hospital called. We have been wondering if he can make it. At 11am in the morning, we have decided to call the clinic as we can't wait any further. We have a GREAT news, Pumpkin is well and up!

He is back now. Everyone is happy to see him. He is still his usual self except for 2 bald patches on his 'hands' due to injection and drip. We are happy, so does Pumpkin as he can eat and ....of course poooo.

Thanks to our friend, Joshua, who has contributed towards part of Pumpkin's medical fee. Otherwise, it will be heavy for the caretakers.

I am sure Pierre is happy that his friend is finally back!

Pierre's friend, Pumpkin in hospital

Even after the vet visit last Sat, condition in Pumpkin did not improve. We have decided to bring him to the vet again today. Pumpkin will be warded. Put under GA before proper procedure can be performed. Vet mentioned that there is a risk that he might not be able to wake up after procedure. We are not sure of his health or medical history as he comes as a stray. Any underlining health problem might take our precious Pumpkin away. We are very worried.

Vet Visit on 10 April 2010

Bui Bui has been to Dr Heng this afternoon. We were happy to hear that his left eye's water pressure is under control. Unfortunately, the eyesight from his right is not looking good. He could be blind in the right eye. Dr Heng has kept trying to test his response from his right eye, but sad to know that there is no response at all. Dr Heng has decided to give him a final chance before removing his right eye. Bui Bui has been given some eye drops for a month. His right eye will need to be removed if there is still no response at the next visit which is one month away.

Bui Bui waiting outside the clinic. Bui Bui was so comfortable in this new carrier that he did not make a single noise.

We have also bought along one of the ginger cat, Pumpkin in the neighbourhood to visit the vet. Caretaker noticed Pumpkin loss of appetite for a week. In addition, he is not able to defecate for the whole of last week! He was dehydrated and weak. Vet mentioned that he will leave us if there is further delay to receive treatment.

It was a tiring day as the queue in the clinic was very long. Two cats need to see the vet at the same time. Thanks to all caretakers for thier time and patience.

Receipt for today's visit.

His right eye is not as cloudy as before. Unfortunately, he might not be able to see anymore.

Pierre's First Visitor

Today is a happy day for Bui Bui. Ivy, a very kind lady has visited Bui Bui. Ivy has also brought along a very nice and comfortable carrier for him. Bui Bui finally has a cage that can allow him to lie in comfortably! Ivy is concerned about Bui Bui's eyes condition and has donated a sum of money for his vet visit this coming Saturday. All of us caretakers are very touched by Ivy. Thanks Ivy!
